Buy a scarf and plant a tree - partnering with One Tree Planted

Ten Thousand Dandelions is an official partner with One Tree Planted and part of the proceeds from each purchase will plant a tree!

One Tree Planted is a 501C3 non-profit that plants trees in North America, South America, Asia & Africa (for 2018, we'll be sponsoring trees to help with reforestation in California after the devastating forest fires this year).

One Tree Planted covers everything from site preparation to watering and fencing the sapling for a year after planting, making sure the trees get the best start possible. 

They make a point of planting during an area's rainy season, so the saplings can take root in hospitable soil conditions, and they work with local professionals and nurseries to get an understanding of how the trees will fit into the local ecology.  Their website is here, if you want to know more, or feel free to send me any questions here.

I love what I do - I love making colorful knit hats, dyeing airy silk scarves, designing textures and color palettes, and I'm tremendously happy that One Tree Planted has made it so easy to do what I love and to give back at the same time.
