About Made to Order

Lead Times (before shipping)

Hand Dyed Silk Scarves - 5-10 business days

Jewelry - 3-5 business days

Why are most of our products made to order?

One of the ways Ten Thousand Dandelions keeps a lower eco-footprint is by avoiding creating too many products, so a lot of colors and styles are available as made to order.

It can take a little more time, and it may change someday, but for now this means that

(a) you can choose from more styles and colors, and

(b) we can avoid holding (or throwing away) a lot of stock that our customers may not actually want, which is

(c) a win for everyone!

Giving Back

Each product purchased funds a donation through our two-fold give-back program:

1) a tree planted through Ten Thousand Dandelion's reforestation partnership with One Tree Planted; and

2) a matching donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository

Thank you!
